Our mandate for this Tennis Canada campaign was ambitious. MHz was charged with taking the duMaurier Open, one of the players' favourite stops on the WTA Tour, and rebranding and promoting it as the Rogers AT&T Cup.
Tennis Canada leveraged the government ruling of excluding tobacco companies from sponsoring sporting events to restage the game of tennis as a more dynamic and exciting game. This created the need for a completely new tournament identity and brandmark. We started with a clean slate and went through a detailed rebranding exercise followed by the conceptualization and design of all materials, from print to billboard to broadcast TV/radio and on-site signage. The cumulative result was a greater promotional success than the tournament had previously achieved.
